MIKE TETREAU

NATIONAL PARKS SERVICE, ALASKA

The 4.8 meter boat was just what we needed; indeed it was pretty much the perfect boat for our demanding mission. We needed a boat with which we could make numerous shore landings every day on a remote, high-energy, extremely rocky Alaskan coastline. The 4.8 meter boat was incredibly tough and stable, yet lightweight enough to hold onto while loading and unloading in the surf. On the water, the hull design coupled with the inflatable sponsons provided excellent performance in big seas. I never felt uncomfortable or unsafe in that boat, even on gnarly days when the big boats were turning back.

Truly the 4×4 of the sea! We worked those boats hard, and they never let us down.
