We build our boats based on your specific needs. Tell us your watercraft goals and we’ll make sure you get there.

Whatever your marine mission.
We’ll build it.

SOLAS boats power through turbulent waters from the Arctic to the Antarctic and everything in between.

We have been able to support a wide variety of enterprises with boats both large and small. With safety, performance, service life and resale value, as the base commercial considerations, SOLAS stands out as a great investment.

RHIB’s have long been proven to be the ideal small boat platform supporting a larger vessel at sea. The reality is that very often these boats take tremendous abuse in conditions and climate that are consistently harsh. SOLAS vessels can be at work and at sea for up to 12 months before they see a need for any significant service. We like to these rugged waters as SOLAS territory! And an arena where we shine.

We have history in high latitudes North & South. We have history in ice infested waters. We have history with rocky shores and volcanic rock cliffs. Barnacles and oyster beds do not like us! The true test is time — after 30 years; these same boats are still working and still being abused, albeit with love.

Science & Research teams benefit from the convenience of SOLAS boat’s maneuverabiltly in inconvenient places.

We understand the research vessel world and look forward to supporting the challenges that every Principal Investigator has in collecting better data set for each and every day at sea. A reliable boat that can withstand the elements we can’t control; weather, wind, and water conditions can be the difference between a successful mission and a failed one.

Our small team and network represents significant depth in both hands-on back deck experience and the technical expertise surrounding open ocean equipment deployment and technology. We understand the Research Vessel world and will always look forward to the challenge that every PI has in collecting the better data set for each and every day at sea. We do our best to deliver simple solutions that work. We can provide insight into remote and high latitude operations and supply equipment that can be repaired on scene, typically using common off the shelf supplies.

Coastal and in-shore science & research; whatever your challenge — beach landing, rocky coastline, long range offshore, ice congested water, challenging sea surface, water column, or a specific target animal — we welcome the conversation.

From Glaciers to Manta Rays, whatever your operation, a SOLAS Boat is the ticket for fun, safety, and longevity.

With a thirty year history of delivering USCG inspected boats into the tourism sector, we are well qualified to address your unique challenge and deliver a boat that will exceed your expectations. We are proud that the first tourism boats put into service are still happily working today!

While we focus on rigid inflatable boats, we are not limited by that platform. Your business model is our challenge. Whether it be passenger numbers as the focus, or perhaps a food service area, or access to the water for your go-pro crowd? These factors and many more play into what our team might bring to the table.

Questions are always welcome.
